About Japanese Nanakusa Festival

Use Crayola® crayons, colored pencils, or markers to color the Nanakusa Festival. Did you know?
The Japanese Nanakusa Festival dates back to the 9th century. Historically, seven plants, believed to have medicinal value, were served to the emperor. Those plants were shephard's purse, chickweed, parsley, cottonweed, radish, hotoke-no-za and aona. Japanese people celebrate this festival by eating these seven herbs in a porridge on January 7. It is believed to give people good health in the upcoming year.
