No. 10 Downing Street

• 1.

  Research and discuss the importance of #10 Downing Street to Great Britain and the world. Find out the type of government England has and who its leaders are. You'll find that the Prime Minister lives at a very famous address: #10 Downing Street. Create your own authentic replica of this famous London structure with these and your own construction ideas.

• 2.

  Cover your work area with recycled newspaper. Paint construction paper and cotton swabs black using Crayola® Tempera Paint and Brushes. Dry.

• 3.

  <b>Brick exterior</b> Remove the paper wrapper from a brick color of Crayola Crayons. Make a crayon rubbing by placing light-colored construction paper on a textured surface. Rub the unwrapped crayon on its side and the point to create a brick effect. Draw in brick edges and mortar lines. Use Crayola School Glue to attach the brick surface to the inside lid of a box.

• 4.

  <b>Door and steps</b> On the back of the painted paper, draw a door with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. Cut it out with Crayola Scissors. Glue the door to the middle of the brick wall. Cut a piece of black recycled produce tray to create a step and glue it under the door.

  <b>Fence</b> Place Crayola Model Magic on either side of the step and push the painted cotton swabs in it to create posts for a fence railing. Add a cross piece of black chenille stick. Attach two black chenille sticks, one from each post to the top of th

  <b>Bobbies</b> Sketch two British Bobbies on construction paper with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. Fill them in with Crayola Fine Tip and Multicultural Markers. Cut them out and glue them to the front of the fence.
