Seed Sprouts

Seed Sprouts lesson plan

  • 1.

Obtain corn or other seeds that sprout easily.

  • 4.

Line a clear plastic drinking glass with a wet paper towel. Between the towel and the glass, place several corn kernels.

  • 5.

On a self-stick label, write the date and your name with a Crayola® Colored Pencil. Attach the label to the outside of the glass.

  • 6.

Moisten the towel each day with a spray bottle filled with water. In a few days, the seeds will start to sprout.

  • 7.

Each day, draw what the sprouts look like, using Crayola® Washable Markers. Make a book or a chart to show their growth.

  • 8.

If possible, plant the sprouts outdoors.
