Faces With Feelings

Faces With Feelings lesson plan

  • 1.

Every day brings many occasions to help children identify and cope with strong feelings. Help children recognize happy and sad feelings.

  • 4.

Write your name and create a smiling face on a paper plate with Crayola® Washable Markers and Multicultural Markers. On the other side, draw a sad face. Show lots of details.

  • 5.

Use Crayola® Glitter Glue to create sparkling eyes, tears, or shiny hair, for example. Allow glue to dry before turning the plate over.

  • 6.

When you listen to a story, such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, hold up the face that shows the characters' feelings. When the bears found that their porridge had been eaten, were they happy or sad?
